This qualification is delivered using a face-to-face, classroom-based delivery mode.

This course is aligned to the specific requirements of Queensland Railโ€™s Network Rules and Procedures MD-12-189.

On successful completion of this course learners will obtain a Queensland Rail enterprise qualification as well as the national unit of competency:

โ€ข TLIW2039 Place and remove permanent way stop boards

Course Detail

At the successful completion of this section participants will have the knowledge & understanding of the following as they relate to their job role:

โ€ข Identify types of In-field Protection
โ€ข Position In-field STOP signs and STOP AHEAD signs

Entry Requirements

Pre-requisities for this course include:

โ€ข Safely access the rail corridor
โ€ข Communications (QNRP)
โ€ข Railway Track Signals (QNRP)

You must be able to speak and understand English. You will need to pass a simple Language, Literacy and Numeracy test prior to commencement of the training.

Course Outcomes

At the successful completion of this course, the learner will have the knowledge and skills to perform the duties of In-Field Protection as they relate to their job role within Queensland Rail.
