Course Overview

Course Duration

5 days classroom based - from 8am to 4pm. Followed by a 1 day assessment which is conducted after up to 40 welds have been completed.

Delivery Mode

This course is delivered using face-to-face, classroom-based delivery.

This course is intended for people who are required to be employed as a rail welder in Queensland.

The successful completion of this course requires competency to be achieved in 3 units.

Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you need to be working in the rail industry and have someone who is prepared to allow you to complete your practical experience with them as the practical experience is a required component of this course.

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of all assessments, students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
