Queensland Rail 3.15 Working in the Electrified Territory Course

QR 3.15 WET
The purpose of this course is to provide learners with knowledge of the electric traction system, as well as how to work safely in the electrified territory, in order to prevent injuries and avoidable incidents.

It instructs contractors and other authorised personnel with a basic understanding of the traction system, relevant electrical risks and minimum safe working requirements for work, while working in electrified territory within Queensland Rail. It also provides basic guidelines to report incidents and emergencies effectively.

Successful completion of this training is mandatory to perform work safely on or near high voltage electrical apparatus, in all electrified railways within Queensland Rail (unless the work is performed under direct supervision). This training does not grant access to railway corridors or facilities

Introduction:

Target Audience:

You must be able to speak and understand English. You will need to pass a simple Language, Literacy and Numeracy test prior to commencement of the training.

You will need to complete a Railway Category 1, 2 or 3 Medical prior to commencing work.
