Rail Training Unit TLISS00103 - Accessing the Rail Corridor Skill Set covering the Safely Access the Rail Corridor unit required by rail operators throughout NSW . This is also known as SX52 - TFNSW, RISI – TFNSW and NTSA – ARTC courses.
This rail course is the MANDATORY entry point for ANYONE who wants to work in the rail industry and will work on or near the track.
This 1 day course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding of basic safety principles and basic track terminology.

This course will be delivered across NSW, with course dates to be confirmed. TIC will deliver this course in major metropolitan and regional centres. Where enrolments permit, more localised courses could be held.

This rail course aims to equip participants with the required knowledge and skills to be able to identify the major hazards to workers within the rail corridor, move to a safe place on the approach of a train and work safely on or about the track within a protected worksite.
During this rail training course, participants investigate the Rail Corridor environment, Operators’ Network Rules and Procedures for working in the Rail Corridor, and the implications for rail workers. Learning is facilitated through observation, examination, demonstration and participation in discussion and practice.
