DESCRIPTION:ARTC NSW Track Vehicle Operator \n\nARTC_NSW_TVO\n\n\nThe ARTC NSW Track Vehicle Operator course is designed to qualify participants to safely operate road-rail vehicles and other on-track machines on the ARTC NSW rail network. The course ensures that participants understand the operational requirements\, safeworking responsibilities\, and communications protocols involved in controlling rail-bound vehicles. During the classroom component\, you will complete knowledge assessments to demonstrate your understanding.\n \nFollowing the classroom training\, you will be required to complete an in-field logbook in your workplace. It is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to safely enter and navigate the rail corridor and danger zone\, with the permission of the access provider\, in full compliance with legislative and regulatory standards. \n\nParticipants will learn to adhere to the policies\, procedures\, and protocols of the access provider to ensure situational awareness and rail safety. The course covers operating under local track protection rules\, including interpreting track protection requirements\, executing assigned protection tasks\, and performing work activities in line with safe working practices and workplace procedures. Additionally\, learners will be trained to respond effectively to safety incidents and abnormal situations\, within their scope of personal responsibility. \n\nIntroduction:\nEntry Requirements Section (Website)\nIn alignment with industry consultation and the job role expectations outlined by Queensland Rail\, TICRail requires the following for course admission:\n\nGeneral and Medical Requirements \n\n\n	A valid Category 3 Rail Medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol\, confirming fitness for work in a rail environment.\n	A Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card and valid employer association \n\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements\nAll participants attending the QR SARC course are required to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
