It covers safe practices for operating around the electric traction system and working within electrified territories to prevent injuries and incidents. \n\nThe course is designed for contractors and authorised personnel\, equipping them with a foundational understanding of the traction system\, electrical risks\, and minimum safe working procedures for working in electrified areas within Queensland Rail. It also provides guidelines on effectively reporting incidents and emergencies. \n\nSuccessful completion of this training is mandatory to perform work safely on or near high-voltage electrical apparatus across Queensland Rail’s electrified rail network (unless the work is performed under direct supervision).
