Changes to Track Safety Awareness training and assessments of competence in NSW

Changes are occurring for all rail workers who will be conducting work activities on the ARTC managed Defined Interstate Rail Network (DIRN in NSW).

The changes will start to take effect on March 2nd 2012 and will be fully implemented by December 1st 2012.

As from March 2nd 2012, ARTC are introducing minimum competency standards for rail safety critical workers who need to gain entry into their respective rail corridors.

Fuel Conservation and Train Management

The Instruction Company is pleased to announce that it has available training courses that are specifically designed to assist rail operators in providing train drivers with purposeful training that will enable them to employ the strategies that serve to minimise fuel usage and adopt good train management practices.  These courses target the optimum techniques that will ensure operators are able to take advantage of fuel savings and minimise wear and tear on rolling stock.

New Courses Available in Victoria

The Instruction Company is pleased to advise that we are now in a position to train and assess in Victorian Infrastructure Track Force Protection.  We have an excellent course designed to meet the requirements of both Handsignaller and Track Force Coordinator positions.
